Korea Travel Guide is a curated, editor-reviewed resource for international visitors. We're transparent about how it's produced.
AI assistance
Our guides are drafted with AI assistance and then checked against live data. We disclose this on every article. AI helps us keep coverage broad and up to date; it does not replace factual verification.
Where our facts come from
- Business details, ratings, and hours: Google Places data.
- Practical info (visa, emergency, transport): official government and tourism sources.
Our verification standards
Because coverage is broad, we hold every venue guide to concrete, automated standards rather than opinions:
- Quality floor: when verified rating data is available, we only feature places rated 4.0โ or higher with a meaningful number of reviews.
- Freshness: venue data is re-checked on a schedule; anything that has closed is automatically unpublished, so we don't send you to a place that no longer exists.
- Licensed images only: every image comes from an approved, licensed source (Google Places, Unsplash, or public/open data) with attribution โ never a scraped photo.
- No invented details: our drafting process is explicitly instructed never to fabricate hours, prices, or addresses; specifics come from data, not guesswork.
Guides are produced by the Korea Travel Guide editorial team using this process. We do not claim personal visits we haven't made โ we're a curation-and-verification resource, and we say so.
Images
We only use images we are licensed to use โ official Places photos, public-domain and openly-licensed sources (e.g. Korea Tourism Organization open data, Unsplash), or images we credit and link to their source. We do not republish others' photos without a license.
