Most travellers reach Siargao by flying into Sayak Airport (IAO) in Del Carmen, typically connecting through Mactan-Cebu International Airport with a short ~1 hour hop onward; a slower, budget alternative is an overnight ferry from Cebu to Surigao City followed by a boat crossing to the island. There is no rail link to Siargao, so air or sea transport via the Cebu hub is the reliable route for most visitors.
