Wander Atlas is a curated, editor-reviewed resource for international visitors. This page is about the people and the rules behind it. The numbers themselves (crowd charts, opening hours, ratings, climate tables) and where each one comes from are explained on the methodology page.
The editor
Every guide on this site is reviewed by Pixer, a Korean travel editor who has personally traveled and documented countries across Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania: all of Vietnam and Thailand, most of South Korea, plus Japan, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Taiwan, Mongolia, France, Spain, Georgia, the Czech Republic, Russia, the US, Australia and New Zealand, among others, and who keeps traveling, adding to this site’s records with every trip. Pixer is a pen name; we say so up front rather than inventing a persona. Guides for countries the editor has visited are marked on the home page, and we never claim a personal visit we haven’t made.
AI assistance
Our guides are drafted with AI assistance and then checked against live data. We disclose this on every article. AI helps us keep coverage broad and up to date; it does not replace the editor’s review or the checks described on the methodology page. We do not claim to have visited a place unless the editor has; we are a curation-and-verification resource, and we say so.
What we promise
- We only write about places we can verify are open and well rated, and a guide comes down when we can no longer confirm the place is open.
- We never invent opening hours, prices or addresses. If we cannot confirm a detail, we leave it out.
- Every photo is licensed or openly licensed, credited, and checked to show the actual place.

Images
We only use images we are licensed to use: public-domain and openly licensed sources such as Wikimedia Commons, Korea Tourism Organization open data and Openverse, or images we credit and link to their source. We do not republish other people’s photos without a license.
Corrections
Found something out of date? Places close and prices change. We re-check on a schedule, but if you spot an error, let us know and we will fix it.
