Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-04

This policy explains what information Wander Atlas (the “Site”) collects and how it is used. Review it before running ads or analytics, and update the specifics to match the tools you actually enable.

Information we collect

The Site is primarily a static publication and does not require you to create an account. We do not intentionally collect personal information from visitors. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send.

Cookies, analytics & advertising

If enabled, the Site may use analytics and advertising partners (for example, Google Analytics and Google AdSense) that set cookies or use similar technologies to measure traffic and serve relevant ads. These third parties may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed, in accordance with their own privacy policies. Google’s use of advertising cookies is described in Google’s Privacy & Terms.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized advertising through your ad settings with the relevant provider.

Pinterest API

Wander Atlas uses the Pinterest API to publish Pins of our own articles to our own Pinterest business account. Wander Atlas is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Pinterest, Inc.

We connect a single Pinterest account — our own — through Pinterest’s official OAuth flow. We never ask a visitor for Pinterest credentials and we do not collect, store, or process Pinterest data belonging to any other person. From that connection we retain only an encrypted refresh token plus the identifiers of the boards and Pins we ourselves create, which is what lets the scheduled job keep publishing.

If we disconnect the account — or if you revoke our access from your Pinterest settings — we delete the stored token and any Pinterest-derived identifiers from our systems within 30 days, and the scheduled job stops.

We do not sell, resell, license, redistribute, or otherwise make Pinterest content or Pinterest-derived data available to any third party, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Your choices (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at the address below.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
