One night, one headliner
MIX Festival 2026 is a one-night event. It takes place on Friday, November 6, 2026, and Kelis tops the bill. That gives the night a clear centre.
Kelis broke through in 1999 with “Caught Out There” from her debut album Kaleidoscope, which The Neptunes produced. “Milkshake” (2003) made her a global name. Later records such as Food (2014) moved her towards soul and funk. Many fans come for the early hits, and her catalogue covers more ground than that.
Kelis is the only act in our facts. This guide names no supporting acts, set times or ticket prices, because we cannot stand behind any of them. The organiser publishes ticket links and prices through its own channels.
Inside Zorlu PSM
Zorlu PSM is the performing arts centre built into Zorlu Center. The complex mixes shopping, offices and homes, and it sits on the ridge above the Bosphorus near the 15 July Martyrs Bridge. The concert halls are underground, beneath the mall levels. You reach them by escalators and corridors rather than from the street.
That layout changes the evening:
- Security screening happens at the mall doors, as at most large Istanbul malls. Bags go through an X-ray.
- Food and drink before the show is easy to find. Zorlu Center’s restaurants and cafés are a few floors above the halls.
- Weather is not part of the gig. November in Istanbul is often cool and wet, but the whole night happens indoors.
Getting to Zorlu PSM
The metro is the simplest way in. Take the M2 (Yenikapı–Hacıosman) to Gayrettepe. From there Zorlu Center is a short walk along Büyükdere Caddesi, a busy road.
Other routes:
- Metrobüs: Zincirlikuyu stop, a few minutes’ walk from the complex.
- From the Asian side: the Marmaray to Yenikapı, then the M2 north. The Kabataş ferry plus the F1 funicular to Taksim also links up with the M2.
- Taxi or ride-hail: possible, but Friday-evening traffic on Büyükdere Caddesi and around the bridge approach is heavy.
Visitors from abroad usually stay in Beşiktaş, Nişantaşı or around Taksim. All three are a few M2 stops or a short taxi ride away.
How a Friday at Zorlu goes
Locals plan around the city’s Friday rush hour. Many people pay for transit with an Istanbulkart, a reloadable card sold and topped up at machines in metro stations. One card can pay for several people on the same ride. That helps a group heading home together after the encore.
Cards and contactless payment work across Zorlu Center’s restaurants and bars, so cash is rarely needed inside. Turkish concert crowds sing along loudly to the hits they know, and “Milkshake” is the obvious one. Fans often eat in the mall first, because the halls downstairs have nowhere to sit down for a meal.
After the show, the crowd heads for Gayrettepe all at once. Some people let the first wave pass over a drink upstairs. Others walk down towards Beşiktaş, where the bars along the waterfront stay open late.
