Eight days of HYBE on the big screen
The lights go down and the room becomes a fan crowd. From October 24 to 31, 2026, HYBE CINE FEST 2026 brings four of the Korean label’s acts to three Cinépolis venues in Mexico City. The draw is a live BTS broadcast from Argentina, shown on a cinema screen as it happens.
Concert films fill out the week:
- BTS: live broadcast from Argentina
- SEVENTEEN: concert film
- TOMORROW X TOGETHER: concert film
- ENHYPEN: concert film
The four acts sit under different HYBE labels. BTS and TXT come from BigHit Music, SEVENTEEN from Pledis Entertainment and ENHYPEN from Belift Lab. So the programme works as a cross-section of the HYBE roster, not a single-fandom night.
The Argentina feed and the clock
The live broadcast sits on South American time. Argentina runs three hours ahead of Mexico City, which has kept standard time all year since Mexico dropped daylight saving in 2022. A night show in Buenos Aires therefore lands in the late afternoon or early evening in Mexican cinemas.
The concert films are recorded, so they play on an ordinary screening schedule. Fans of more than one group often spread the week across several sessions instead of one marathon day.
Inside a Cinépolis fan screening
Cinépolis is Mexico’s largest cinema chain, founded in Morelia, and Mexico City is its densest market. All three venues are run by the chain, and screenings use its usual reserved-seat system. You pick your seat when you buy, at the box office or in the app.
Fan screenings at these events behave nothing like a quiet film night:
- Lightsticks: ARMY Bombs, CARAT Bongs and other official lightsticks come out the moment the house lights dim.
- Fanchants: crowds usually shout the official chants on cue, as they would in a stadium.
- Merch and outfits: band shirts, photocards and fan-made banners are common sights in the lobby.
- Photos: fans usually take group shots in the lobby, not during the screening, out of courtesy to the people behind.
Mexican crowds have a reputation on the K-pop touring circuit for sheer volume, and a sold-room cinema screening runs on the same energy at a smaller scale.
Getting to the screens in late October
Mexico City is large enough that the choice of venue decides your journey. Most attendees reach Cinépolis sites by Metro, Metrobús or ride-hail apps like Uber and DiDi. Evening traffic on the main avenues regularly turns a short trip into a long one.
Cinépolis takes cards at the box office and the concession stand. The snack counter sells the chain’s standard popcorn, nachos and drinks. Tipping is not part of buying a cinema ticket in Mexico.
The festival week overlaps with the run-up to Día de Muertos. Marigold ofrendas fill plazas, markets and shopfronts across the city by the end of October. A daytime walk through the Centro Histórico or Coyoacán pairs well with an evening screening, and either one shows you the season at full build.
