Five days on open ground
Wonderfruit takes over grass, not a city block. From 3 to 7 December 2026, the fields of Siam Country Club fill with stages, art structures, a farm, workshop tents and wellness spaces. The golf estate sits inland of Pattaya, away from the beach strip and its neon.
The festival programme is broader than its music. Mornings tend to belong to workshops and wellness. Afternoons drift between art installations and the farm. After dark, the stages take over. Five days gives room for all of it, and that pace is the point.
Siam Country Club: finding the fields
Siam Country Club is a golf resort in Bang Lamung district, Chonburi, a short drive east of central Pattaya. The festival grounds sit on the estate’s open land, surrounded by low hills and fairways rather than hotels.
Getting there usually works one of these ways:
- From Bangkok: by road on Motorway 7, the Bangkok to Chonburi expressway, roughly 150 km. Allow around two hours, longer in Friday traffic.
- From Suvarnabhumi Airport: the same motorway heads south-east, so the airport is on the way rather than a detour.
- From U-Tapao Airport: the smaller airport south of Pattaya, with domestic and some regional flights.
- From Pattaya town: taxis and ride-hailing apps such as Grab and Bolt cover the inland stretch to the club.
Public transport does not reach the gate in any useful way. Most attendees arrive by car, taxi or a shared ride.
Dates, tickets and where the details live
The 2026 edition runs Thursday 3 December to Monday 7 December. That covers a full weekend plus two weekdays, and many attendees treat it as a working-week break rather than a single night out.
The organiser publishes the dates, ticket types and venue information on Wonderfruit’s official website. Ticket prices are posted there and nowhere in this guide. Passes at multi-day festivals of this kind usually come in full-festival and shorter formats, with camping and accommodation sold separately. The official site sets out which applies to this edition.
The lineup is not covered here either. Music is one strand of five, and the workshop and wellness programme is often as much of a draw.
The farm at the festival’s centre
Most festivals have a food court. Wonderfruit has a farm. That single feature explains much about the event’s character: the festival has built its identity around agriculture, sustainability and what grows on the land it borrows each December.
Expect the farm to sit alongside the art and music rather than behind a fence. Its presence shapes the workshops too, which lean towards hands-on, practical subjects as well as talks.
The art installations are large, walk-through pieces spread across the grass. Many work as shade, seating or meeting points as much as sculpture.
How a Wonderfruit day unfolds
December is the start of Thailand’s cool, dry season. In the Pattaya area that means clear skies, strong midday sun and noticeably softer evenings. The festival’s rhythm follows the light.
Wellness sessions and workshops fill the early part of the day, when the fields are still comfortable. Through the hot middle hours, people retreat to shade, installations and tents. As the sun drops, the grounds fill out and the music becomes the main event, running on into the night.
Because the event lasts five days, few people try to do everything. Regulars pace themselves, with a big night followed by a slow morning at the farm or a yoga mat.
Moving through the fields like a regular
A few habits separate seasoned attendees from first-timers.
- Where people sleep: many camp or take the festival’s on-site lodging. Others base themselves in Pattaya or Jomtien and ride in each day. Staying in town adds a nightly taxi ride but brings a proper bed and air conditioning.
- What they carry: a refillable bottle, a hat, sunscreen and a light layer for after dark. The festival is known for its sustainability focus, and single-use plastic sits badly with the crowd.
- What they wear on their feet: the ground is grass and earth, sometimes dusty, so sandals that can handle dirt work better than anything precious.
- How they pay: Thailand runs heavily on QR-code mobile payment through PromptPay, and cards are common at organised venues. Thai cash is still useful for taxis and roadside stops outside the gate.
- Families: Wonderfruit has a reputation for welcoming children, and daytime crowds often include parents with kids.
Thai social manners apply on site as anywhere in the country. Raised voices and public arguments land badly. A smile and a calm “khop khun” (thank you, with “krub” for men and “ka” for women) goes a long way with staff and vendors.
Leaving at the end of the night takes patience. Taxis and ride-hailing cars bunch up when the stages close. Many attendees leave a little before the final set or wait out the first wave on the grass.
Pattaya beyond the festival gate
The festival’s quiet inland setting contrasts with the city a short drive west. Attendees who stay in town usually split recovery days between these:
- Sanctuary of Truth: an enormous carved-teak temple-like structure on the waterfront at Naklua, still under construction decades after work began.
- Jomtien Beach: the calmer, longer stretch south of central Pattaya, with a seafront promenade.
- Koh Larn: an island reached by ferry from Bali Hai Pier, with clearer water than the mainland beaches.
- Pattaya Viewpoint on Pratumnak Hill: looks over the curve of Pattaya Bay between the city and Jomtien.
- Walking Street: Pattaya’s nightlife strip, a very different kind of late night from the festival fields.
Many international visitors add a few days in Bangkok or along the eastern Gulf coast. Rayong and Koh Samet are both further down the same road.
