How do I get to Alanya?
Most travellers fly into Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport (GZP), roughly 40 km east of town (~45 minutes by shuttle or taxi), though many international charters and scheduled flights instead use the larger Antalya Airport (AYT), about 125-135 km away, from which transfers or buses take ~2-2.5 hours. There is no rail line to Alanya, so onward travel from either airport is by road, via shuttle bus, private transfer, or taxi.
How many days should I spend in Alanya?
Plan on ~3-4 days to cover Alanya's core sights, such as Alanya Castle, the harbor, and main beaches, or a week or more if using it as a base for a full coastal beach holiday.
