How do I get to Tioman?
Most travellers reach Tioman by ferry from the regional hub of Mersing on the Johor coast (with an alternative departure point at Tanjung Gemok), a crossing that takes roughly 1.5–2.5 hours depending on tides and weather; Mersing itself is reached by bus or coach from Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. A small airstrip (Tioman Airport, code TOD) also serves the island with limited scheduled flights, but the ferry remains the standard, reliable way in.
How many days should I spend in Tioman?
