Three days of beauty trade in December
This is the 20th edition. BeautyExpo Uzbekistan has run long enough to become the country’s specialised trade meeting point for beauty products, and the 2026 fair fills Uzexpocentre from December 9 to 11. The format is a classic trade show: exhibitor stands in exhibition halls, with brands, distributors and suppliers presenting to buyers.
Most visitors are industry people. Salon owners, cosmetics retailers, distributors and beauty professionals from Uzbekistan and neighbouring Central Asian markets usually make up the crowd. The organiser publishes the exhibitor list, visitor registration and any programme on its official site. The fair has no lineup in the festival sense.
Finding Uzexpocentre
Uzexpocentre sits on Amir Temur Avenue in Yunusabad, north of Amir Temur Square. It is Tashkent’s national exhibition centre, a large complex of halls set back from a wide boulevard.
- Metro: Bodomzor station on the Yunusobod line (Line 3) is the nearest stop, a short walk from the grounds.
- Taxi: Yandex Go is the standard ride-hailing app in Tashkent, and drivers know “Uzexpocentre” by name.
- From the airport: Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport is across town, usually a 25–40 minute drive depending on traffic.
The Tashkent TV Tower and the Japanese Garden are both close by on the same side of the city. They are handy for a break between sessions.
Working the halls in Tashkent
Russian is still the everyday working language of business in Tashkent, alongside Uzbek. English is common at international stands but much less so with local distributors. Experienced visitors carry business cards and product sheets in Russian, and many use a translation app at smaller stands.
- Payment: local cards run on Uzcard and Humo. Visa and Mastercard work in hotels and larger venues, and cafés and taxis often expect cash in Uzbek som.
- Meetings: exhibitors usually set appointments with serious buyers in advance and leave walk-up chats for the aisles.
- Greetings: a handshake is the norm between men. With women, it’s polite to let her offer a hand first. Many locals place a hand on the chest as a greeting.
- Pacing: trade visitors usually do the floor in one full day and come back on another day for follow-up meetings.
December in Tashkent
Tashkent in mid-December is cold and dry. Daytime temperatures sit around freezing, and snow is possible. Attendees usually pack a warm coat for the walk between metro, taxi and halls, and leave it at the cloakroom once inside.
For hotels, visitors usually stay around Amir Temur Square or in Yunusabad itself, both a few metro stops or a short taxi ride from the venue. After hours, Chorsu Bazaar in the old city has domed halls of spices, dried fruit and fresh bread. The Tashkent Metro is also worth a ride for its decorated Soviet-era stations: Kosmonavtlar and Alisher Navoi are the best known.
The fair suits a two- or three-night stay with a day left over for the city.
