Bursa has no major airport or rail link of its own, so most travelers arrive via Istanbul's airports (IST or SAW), taking a direct bus (~2.5 hours) to Bursa's intercity bus terminal, or by combining a Sea of Marmara ferry to Yalova or Mudanya with a connecting bus into the city center. From central Istanbul, fast ferries also run to the Bursa coast as an alternative to the road route around the bay.
