How do I get to Malaga?
Most travellers arrive via Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP), one of Spain's busiest airports, connected to the centre by the Renfe Cercanías C1 commuter line, which runs directly from the airport to Málaga María Zambrano (the main rail hub for onward AVE high-speed services) and on to Málaga Centro-Alameda near the old town, in roughly 10-15 minutes. From María Zambrano, high-speed and regional trains link onward to Madrid, Seville, Córdoba and beyond, while coaches from the adjoining bus station serve the wider Costa del Sol.
How many days should I spend in Malaga?
Plan on ~2-3 days to take in the old town, cathedral, Alcazaba and museums at an easy pace, with extra time if you intend to use Malaga as a base for coastal day trips.
