Art Basel Paris takes over the Grand Palais from October 23 to 25, 2026. The venue is the restored 19th-century glass-and-steel hall on Avenue Winston Churchill, between the Champs-Élysées and the Seine.

Expect modern and contemporary galleries from across the world showing painting, sculpture, photography and installation under the Grand Palais’s vast iron-and-glass nave. Planning your visit

Two to three hours covers a focused walk through the main galleries; serious collectors and researchers often return across multiple days. The Grand Palais also runs a public program of talks and film alongside the gallery booths in past editions, worth checking on arrival.

Cloakrooms handle coats and bags above a certain size; large backpacks and rolling luggage are typically restricted from the floor. Wear shoes you can stand in for hours: the nave floor is stone and there are few seating areas inside the booths themselves.

October in Paris runs cool and often wet, so a layer for the walk from the metro matters more than what you wear inside.
