Timing your visit around the crowds

The museum is closed all day Monday, so plan around that if you’re building a multi-stop itinerary. On weekends, foot traffic runs heavy from opening at 10am straight through to 5pm, with no real lull. If you want breathing room in the galleries, a weekday visit is the better bet since the weekend crush is consistent rather than concentrated at one peak hour.
